In many New Jerseyans' minds, summer ended with the passing of Labor Day. But if you took a trip to Seaside Heights this past weekend, you'd see that couldn't be further from the truth.

At the beginning of February, at least 1,600 jobs were up for grabs at boardwalk piers in Seaside Heights and the Wildwoods.

Some boardwalks and piers along New Jersey's coast are struggling to fill a number of their job openings, and they don't exactly know why.
