There is still no word whether the Union County Prosecutors Office will file criminal charges against the Linden High School football player who ripped the helmet off an opposing player from Immaculata High School a few weeks ago, and is then seen in a video hitting him in the head with it.

The referees who called the infamous Linden-Immaculata game have been suspended for two games.

The NJSIAA has concluded that there were no racial epitaphs spoken during the Linden-Immaculata game that may have prompted a Linden player to hit an opposing player in the head with his helmet.

The mother of the Linden High School football player caught on video hitting another player with his own helmet says it was an accident.

It’s being called one of the dirtiest plays in high school football and it happened Friday night when a Linden High School football player pulled a disgusting move on an opposing player.

Police and school officials are investigating after a Linden defensive lineman pulled the helmet off of an Immaculata offensive lineman while taking him down during a play on Sept. 11.
