New legislation — prompted after authorities say 67 dogs were found nearly freezing in a van outside a pet store — takes aim at the high-volume pet industry.
The protest comes a day after a Superior Court judge denied Just Pups owner Vincent LoSacco's request to lift the municipal order shuttering his store until at least a Health Board hearing next month.
The owner accused of hundreds of animal cruelty and local code violations at his several puppy stores is defending himself — saying the latest charges are a "misunderstanding."
