So where does the money come from? Fundraising has been hard to do this past year but last Monday I was at the Seth Nemeroff gold outing along with COA founder who lost his son Casey to addiction.

Proceeds will benefit the Nichols Family Trust in an effort to offset the family’s massive costs incurred during Mike’s road to recovery. They will also benefit The Reeve Foundation to support groundbreaking research and quality of life initiatives.

The event is switching venues again in 2018, to appeal to a base of donors across Monmouth and Ocean counties.

In the eight years since a group of friends began a partnership with a mutual pledge to "pay it forward," the organization now known as Friends Helping Friends of New Jersey has raised over $600,000 for Ocean County-area families in need.
