A police officer in Middletown was struck by an 80 year old driver. The cop was directing traffic on Route 35 when the octogenarian, Ronald Eckstein, tried to pass vehicles on the shoulder. It happened at 11:10 am yesterday and published reports say he was pulled over at 11:40, so presumably he hit the cop and just kept going...

Two old guys who work as clowns crashed their minivan into an SUV on their way to a fair. I'd love to see this police report.

By Jeff Deminski Sunday afternoon, an 84 year old driver was pulling out of a gas station in Watchung when he struck another vehicle, sending all three occupants to the hospital, then drove across the street onto someone's property and crashed into the front porch of their home.
