Throughout the month of March, the American Cancer Society will step up efforts to urge early detection for colon cancer during "Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month."
WASHINGTON (AP) -- How old is too old for a colonoscopy? A surprising number of people older than 75 haven't ever been screened for colon cancer - and researchers reported Monday that it's not too late for them to get caught up.
Colon cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in the national and 143,000 new cases are expected to be diagnosed this year, including 4,600 in New Jersey.
