November 16th, 1974 - John Lennon hits No.1 on the singles chart with 'Whatever Gets You Through The Night.' Elton John played on the session and had made a deal with Lennon that they would have to play live together if the song ever reached No.1.

The Beach Boys re celebrating 50 years together and their music has been enjoyed by 3 generations. This weekend New Jersey 101.5 is featuring Jersey's Favorite Beach Boys hits and giving away their new album!

May 6th 1964 - The Beach Boys record "All Summer Long." Beginning in February 1964, Brian Wilson began a period of rigorous songwriting. Just weeks later he emerged with songs including "I Get Around", "All Summer Long", "Wendy" and "Girls on the Beach".

One of our favorite artists that come out to play on the weekends on New Jersey 101.5 are the Beach Boys!  They are celebrating 50 years together and their music has been enjoyed by 3 generations. This week they kicked off their Summer of 2012 Anniversary Tour in Arizona...

December 23rd 1964 - During a US tour Beach Boy Brian Wilson had a nervous breakdown during a flight from Los Angeles to Houston. Wilson left the band to concentrate on writing and producing.
