Gov. Chris Christie’s tour of road projects included a new wrinkle Thursday – noting no lawmakers who voted to hike New Jersey’s gas tax lost their primaries.
The $32 billion, 10-year plan includes less than half the cost for a new Port Authority Bus Terminal. The first $70 million in planning funds may be approved.
More voters, nearly 4 million, took part in last month’s election than any in New Jersey history. The numbers of write-in and third-party votes also surged.
