See our 4 adoptable NJ pets of the week – Jet, Patsy, Scobby and Lopa

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Jet

If you are looking for a lovable lap cat, Jet is your boy! He gets along with other cats, so he will fit in with any cat family. He is a very entertaining and playful young kitty. When Jet wants to cuddle up with one of the volunteers at Edison Municipal Animal Shelter, he will gently nudge them with his head until he gets a pet and a cuddle. Jet is stunning with his luxurious black coat and golden eyes. Jet is neutered, vaccinated and FeLv/FIV negative.

Adopt Patsy

Patsy came into the Ewing Animal Shelter in bad condition after being tied up outside in a residential neighborhood. She's a very friendly dog and is eager to please. She's very affectionate and is quick to roll over for a belly rub. Patsy is currently enrolled in weekly training sessions and she's thriving.

Adopt Scobby

Scobby, a Hound and Labrador Retriever mix, is a young boy at the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter. We think he is about a year-old. He has a darling face and very handsome tricolor markings. Scooby acts like a puppy in his demeanor and is very curious about everything. He enjoys being outside and loves to explore and sniff. Sometimes he gets a little startled by noises in the distance, but we are working with him to help him relax. We are also currently working with him to walk on a leash and he is progressing nicely, especially when he walks alongside another dog. He loves to play and run around with the other dogs at the shelter. If you have a playful, friendly dog, Scooby would be in heaven with a new friend. He also would be just as happy as the only pet in the home.

Adopt Lopa

Lopa is a young beauty currently staying at the Ewing Animal Shelter. She loves gentle head scratches. She would prefer to be in a home where she is the only cat so she could have all your attention and snooze safely and peacefully.
