Class A North
No. 7 Colts Neck 35, Freehold Township 7
Quarterback Christian Sanchez ran for a pair of touchdowns, wide receiver John Miller threw a touchdown pass to Nick Volpe and Anthony Gargiulo and Craig Russo added rushing touchdowns as Cougars (6-1, 3-1) pulled away from the Patriots (1-6, 1-4) in A North.
Class A South
No. 10 Brick 25, Lacey 24
Junior quarterback Joe Phillips, who started for injured junior Carmen Sclafani, threw a touchdown pass to freshman receiver Jazir Taylor with 29 seconds left, and junior Ray Fattaruso ran in the two-point conversion to give the Dragons (6-2, 5-1) a wild come-from-behind victory over the Lions (5-3, 3-3) and set up a winner-take-all showdown with Jackson Memorial for the Class A South division title.
Phillips led a 10-play, 77-yard drive with 2:24 left to pull the Dragons to within 24-23. The extra point was no good, but a running-into-the-kicker penalty on Lacey gave the Dragons another chance. Fattaruso ran for 139 yards on 26 carries and Mike Muratore added 58 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Phillips finished 11-of-16 for 111 yard and one touchdown.
Senior quarterback Tommy Kelly threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns for Lacey, and senior Christian Tutela caught 5 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Kelly had thrown a 23-yard touchdown pass to Conor Davies that gave Lacey a 24-17 lead with 2:36 left in the game.

The Piners (5-2, 4-2) shocked the previously-unbeaten Bengals (6-1, 5-1) thanks to 21 unanswered points spanning the second and third quarters. Mo Diawara picked up a fumble after and interception by Datrell Reed and returned it 25 yard for a touchdown in the third quarter to put Lakewood up 21-7. Amir Tyler had a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and Chapelle Cook threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Mike Randolph in the second quarter to give the Piners a 14-7 lead.
