Police Investigating Body Found in Haddonfield

The decomposed body of a man has been found near a secluded jogging trail in Haddonfield.

The Courier-Post reports that the remains were found by joggers Monday afternoon in a heavily-wooded and swampy ravine in the Birdwood neighborhood. The body was lying face down.

The death has not been ruled a homicide but a spokesman for the homicide unit at the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Capt. Frank Falco, says there were "potential signs of foul play." An autopsy is being performed.

Authorities believe the death occurred between two and four days ago. They say the man's identity could not be determined because of the state of the body.

Haddonfield police suspect the death was an isolated incident but say they'll step up patrols in the area.
