NJ leaders need to have some common sense: The Daily Point
The NJEA is once again overstepping their bounds. The NJEA has announced that it will not support a plan by Governor Christie to save a quarter-billion dollars in the new budget through changes to the health plans for state workers and retirees.
Decision such as this are causing a huge impact to NJ workers and residents by the agendas of the leaders of organizations and political parties. Just because NJ leaders want to wage a battle every 10 minutes, doesn't mean that is what the people want. That's a huge disconnect.
It's time for teachers and other union members to start pushing back. The fact that the NJEA won't even have a conversation about a adjustments in a new budget is outrageous. Teachers are too important to our communities to not have a voice and a say in this.
