Police say the barracks in Perryville, Maryland, received a call from a man who said his car had been stolen in a carjacking at a mental health facility in Mount Holly, New Jersey, about 5 p.m. Thursday. The man said the vehicle was being tracked by a GPS device and it was near the Maryland House rest stop on I-95.

Troopers spotted the vehicle and notified Maryland Transportation Authority Police, who deployed stop sticks, which flattened two tires.

Troopers near the Fort McHenry toll plaza used a rolling roadblock to force the suspect to stop.

Troopers say charges in Maryland and New Jersey are pending.
