SOUTH BRUNSWICK — A Friday morning crash between a motorcycle and an SUV left a man in the hospital and caused big delays through Middlesex County.

Police Capt. James Ryan said the 2003 Buell motorcycle, driven by a man in his mid 20s, was headed north on Route 130 when it stuck a 2005 Nissan Xtera. The Xtera was turning left from the southbound lanes at Stults Road.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and is in critical condition, according to Ryan. The driver of the Xtera was not injured. Ryan did not disclose the identity of either driver and said no charges have been filed.

The clean up and investigation left only one lane of traffic through the intersection, which is just north of Route 32 in front of a Quick Chek. It also leads to Exit 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike.
