Mike Trout has played only one full season in the big leagues, but the New Jersey native's high school is already renaming its baseball field after the Los Angeles Angels star.

The South Jersey Times reports the Millville Board of Education voted Monday to change the name of Millville High's in honor of the 2012 American League rookie of the year.

In a way, the move is a thank-you to Trout. When he won the Players Choice Rookie of the Year Award, it came with a $20,000 donation to the charity of his choice.

The 21-year-old outfielder sent the money to his school to renovate its field.

The exact name of the field has not been decided.
