I-78 Slow In Springfield, Union County

Interstate 78 eastbound in Springfield has reopened but an accident investigation continues to slow traffic in both directions.

The New Jersey 101.5 Fast Traffic map indicates v very slow traffic between Diamond Hill Road and Exit 48 (Route 24). A police investigation into the accident could close lanes in both directions without notice.

A car headed westbound reportedly ran across the median near Route 24 hitting a car on the eastbound side head on.
