Freshman of the Year- Jada Lynch St. Rose

It is hard for people that don't follow Shore Conference girls basketball to understand that Jada Lynch IS only a freshman.  They see a kid who looks bigger and stronger than most 14 year olds.  Lynch has proven to be everything that people said she would be before the season.  Averaging 12.5 ppg, 6.7 rpg, and 2.1 apg, Lynch has stepped up when her team needed her most.  In the 2 games vs RFH, Lynch is averaging 15.5 ppg and 9 rpg.  In the Hoop Group Boardwalk Showcase vs #15 Chatham, Lynch had a career high 24 points, and against #7 Ewing at the State and Shore Fight For a Cure Showcase, Lynch led the team with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Most Improved Player- Allison Cannon Holmdel

It is easy to go by stats when picking the MIP for the Mid-Season, but Allison Cannon has meant so much more to her team than just numbers.  Taking her scoring average from 8.5 ppg in 2021-2022 to 14.1 ppg this season, and almost doubling her assist numbers, Cannon's leadership and calm demeanor has helped Holmdel stay right behind SJV in the A Central division.  Cannon's excellent court vision was on display at the State and Shore Fight For a Cure Showcase last week vs Jackson Memorial, as Cannon landed precise full court passes and nifty entry passes on her way to 7 assists.  Only a Junior, the best is yet to come for Cannon and Holmdel.

Emnace continues to have a stellar year for the Monarchs, who continue to ascend the Shore Conference rankings.  Emnace is averaging 20 ppg, 3 rpg, 3 apg, and 3 spg.  A Harvard commit, Emnace looks to take Trinity hall to new heights this season.
