The busy season is underway for online dating

I never knew this, but according to Quartz, this is the season for finding a new mate, as both Match.com and Plenty of Fish report that “The Sunday night after New Year’s is the busiest time of year for dating sites.”

Maybe they got a lousy gift from their current paramour, or maybe they’re just resolving to upgrade their romantic status for the new year, but from now to Valentine’s Day, the dating sites will be hopping. So if you’re in need of a partner or just thinking about making a change, now would be a good time to do it.
