WEST DEPTFORD — Police are seeking the public's help identifying a man they say used a cell phone to knock a local maintenance supervisor to the ground.

According to police the incident happened just before 8:45 on Friday morning at the Westwood Court Apartments when a man started throwing sticks at the window of one of the apartments. The maintenance worker confronted the man and asked him to leave. police said.

The police said after being confronted the man started to film the supervisor with his cell phone while arguing with him. The man then put the cell phone "directly in front of the maintenance supervisor's face before finally striking him with the phone," police said.

The supervisor was knocked to the ground and suffered lacerations, police said.

Police said the man arrived at the complex on Tatum Street in a silver four-door car with a temporary registration. He left the scene in the vehicle, which has an unknown registration, police said.
