WOODBRIDGE — A fully engulfed truck fire is causing traffic delays on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The fire was reported about 4 p.m. in Middlesex County on the northbound outer roadway just south of Exit 12 for Carteret and Rahway.

The fire has blocked the right and center lanes.

Images submitted by readers show the truck exploding. Other details about what caused the fire or whether anybody was injured were not immediately available Friday afternoon.
