Workers on Thursday closed the right and center lanes on Route 1 & 9T east over the Hackensack River. They fixed a 6-foot by 3-foot section of bridge deck on the span that links Jersey City with Kearny.

The road is one of the main alternate routes for the Pulaski Skyway rehabilitation.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation says the traffic lanes were reopened before 2:45 p.m
