CNN reports the former mayor of Baltimore will campaign for Booker. "We need more entrepreneurial, collaborative, results-driven leaders like Cory Booker in the U.S. Senate, not more politics as usual," O'Malley said in a statement. "I plan to work hard to get him elected."

O'Malley is a rising Democrat and is seen as a potential 2016 candidate for the White House. Like Republican Chris Christie, O'Malley has appeared at fundraisers in a number of Democrats including Massachusetts Senate candidate Ed Markey  and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden.

He has events scheduled in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida for gubernatorial races in those states.

Booker faces 3 opponents in the primary: representatives Frank Pallone and Rush Holt and Assembly speaker Sheila Oliver. He is currently the front runner in the race.
