Planning to travel late Friday or early Saturday? Get ready for slick roads, low visibility, and New Jersey breaking out the shovels and salt once again.

Christmas Eve will be bright and breezy. Christmas Day might feature some showers. On Friday, significant snowy and icy conditions are possible in New Jersey.

While not everyone will see accumulating snow and ice Tuesday morning, it could be a slippery start to Christmas Eve Eve around New Jersey.

Friday is a big weather transition day for New Jersey, with up to an inch of rain, 40 to 50 mph wind gusts, and temperatures crashing by 20 to 30 degrees.

We will squeeze out one more pleasant December day on Thursday before heavy rain, gusty winds, and cold air make for big changes on Friday.

After three weeks of continuously cold temperatures, New Jersey finally crawls out of the freezer — but only for a few days.

Tuesday will be another cold day, but at least skies will be sunnier, winds will be calmer, and temperatures will be slightly warmer than Monday.

Refreshed arctic air, a brisk northwesterly breeze, and fresh snow cover will make Monday one of NJ's coldest days of all of 2025.

Up to 8 inches of fluffy snow accumulated in New Jersey by Sunday morning. For part of the state, this was the biggest snow event in almost four years.

It is a wintry end to the weekend across New Jersey, as our first snow storm of the season exits and bitter cold settles in.
