Firefighters had to battle getting through heavy snow to reach the scene in a remote section of Manchester Township Thursday.

Police Capt. Todd Malland tells the Asbury Park Press some of the animals are still at large. American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals volunteers are trying to corral them.

Malland says getting around quickly is almost impossible in the weather because many structures in that part of the township are far from the road.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
