Ahhh the wedding day ... for many couples it's a day they've spent months and months planning and preparing for, but is it really worth it? After the garter is thrown, the cake is cut, and the gifts are open, some couples might experience buyer's remorse, especially once they realize that putting another $1,000 on their Mastercard for that ice sculpture didn't exactly make their wedding priceless.

As couples strive to make their wedding the most memorable one yet, many are going to great lengths to show their guests a good time. From photo booths, to fireworks, to live musical performances, couples are spending big bucks on guest experiences. In fact, according to The Knot 2016 Real Weddings Study, custom guest entertainment has more than tripled, from 11 percent to 21 percent since 2009. And while The Knot's survey for 2017 hasn't been released yet, they do expect the trend to continue.

But here's the question — does it really matter? Will fireworks really keep your wedding top-of-mind for guests once they've gone to another couple's wedding that was either equally as fabulous or better?

In this Forever 39 episode, we talk about wedding regrets and the things you would do all over again if given the chance to hit the redo button on your wedding. Perhaps you regret spending $62,606, which is the average amount couples spent in New Jersey in 2016. Or maybe you just wish you spent less on the attire and more on making sure your guests had a great time.

And while guest experiences are becoming more important to the couple getting married, they don't appear to be a source of regret, at least not yet.

According to a post by Wedding Gown Preservation Kit, a survey conducted by jeweler Vashi Dominquez found that more than 80 percent of brides experienced wedding day regrets. The dress, the photographer, hair/makeup, and amount of money spent topped the list of most mentioned regrets. So what are your regrets? If you could do it all over again, what changes would you make?
