HAMILTON — A 22-year-old Trenton woman was killed after her car was struck by a drug suspect fleeing police Monday night, authorities said.

Chandler Heaviside, 22, of Jackson, has been charged with the death of Deja Farrio.

Prosecutors said Heaviside led cops on a high-speed chase from Trenton into Hamilton after the State Police Crime Suppression Unit say they saw him involved in a drug deal.

Heaviside, driving a gray Chevy Trailblazer with two others in the car, ran a red light at Broad Street and Park Avenue.

He struck Farrior's black Honda Civic as she made a left turn. Her car was shoved into a telephone pole. Farrior was hospitalized and later died.

Heaviside ran off on foot and was arrested by State and Trenton police, who found heroin on him, they said.

Heaviside was charged with death by auto while under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, causing death while driving with a suspended license, assault by auto and eluding.

Lawrence Sears, 28, of Manchester, and 25-year-old Harry Remington 3rd, of Brick, were arrested for drug possession after additional heroin was found on the floor of the car.
