PUBLIC QUESTIONS:
Question 1 - Bail reform:
New Jersey's constitutional right to bail would change, allowing judges to deny bail for defendants who are being charged with certain violent crimes. Constitutional Amendment to Allow a Court to Order Pretrial Detention of a Person In a Criminal Case.
Question 2 - Open space:
Constitutional amendment dedicating state funds to be used for open space, farmland and historic preservation. It would also change existing dedication for water programs, hazardous site cleanups and underground storage tanks.
