The game was scrubbed four hours before the scheduled 7 p.m. start time. Shane Greene (3-1) had been set to face Baltimore's Wei-Yin Chen (12-4).

No information on a makeup date was immediately available, but both teams are off Thursday.

Tuesday's games was to be the second of a three-game series between the first-place Orioles and third-place Yankees, who are seven games back. The teams have a three-game weekend series in Baltimore set for September.
