Ryan will be in the lineup as the Thunder, the Yankees Class AA affiliate in the Eastern League, play the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

Ryan, a seven year major league veteran, has been sidelined all season with a lower back injury that he sustained in spring training.

He has a career .237 average with 106 doubles and 19 HR in 783 games with St. Louis, Seattle and New York.

Ryan played in 17 games with New York last season.
