Yankees Honor Boston in the Wake of the Boston Marathon Bombing by Playing ‘Sweet Caroline’
For at least one night, one of the biggest rivalries in sports were set aside to show solidarity in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing.
The New York Yankees showed their love and support for Boston following the 3rd inning of their game versus the Diamondbacks by playing 'Sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond.
The song is a staple at Fenway Park in Boston and is used as a sing-a-long during Red Sox games. The Yankees put their rivalry aside and put their support in the forefront by playing the song and creating their own sing-a-long.
