Aaron Alonso originally from Jefferson lost his legs in Afghanistan earlier this year when he stepped on an IED. He met a man named Jim Tignanelli while at Walter Reed. Jim is with the Police Officers Association of Michigan and was so touched by Aaron's courage and attitude that he wanted to do something for him. Boy did he. A $13,000 state of the art top of the line all-terrain wheel chair that can go where most wheel chairs can't. It was presented to him as a surprise as you can see in this video, complete with an honor guard. Try to watch this and not get choked up. I dare you.
