According to a report by Kevin McArdle, the measure directs the Motor Vehicle Commission to establish standards for licensing autonomous vehicles, or any operated by artificial intelligence, sensors, GPS systems or any other self-driving technologies. The Commission would establish regulations authorizing the use of autonomous vehicles, and create rules covering safety, testing, insurance, registration and operation.

The fact that we are so close to it and it is that tangible is almost hard to believe. What do you think? Do you think driverless cars would be a good thing for NJ? Or would this be the one way to make driving worse in the Garden State? Take our poll below and let us know what you think.
