Nothing like a good protest, and this one's about cats. Seaside Heights stopped pussy-footing around with their feral cat problem by adopting an ordinance to allow the current cat colonies to continue but any more had to get the approval of all the surrounding neighbors. This has some cat-loving residents up in arms fearing some cats may end up in shelters or even dead.

Regarding the fears of the local residents, if you're so worried about the cats, adopt them yourself, or go get the approval of the neighbors for more colonies. There's only so much a township can do and they're doing all that they can.

What do you think about it?
