A 33-year-old woman who killed a West Orange man in a drunk driving crash on an upstate New York highway in 2015 has been sentenced to at least eight years in prison.

According to Syracuse.com, Amy Dell was convicted on May 31 of aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with the wrong-way crash that killed 58-year-old Bruce Ham, a New Jersey ordained minister, on Interstate 81 in Syracyse. On Monday, she was sentenced to 8 1/3 to 25 years in state prison, the article states.

The crash took place just after 3 a.m. on May 8, 2015 after Dell had been bar-hopping, the report states. According to Syracuse.com, she also gave the middle finger to sheriff's deputies and hurled vulgar insults at investigators. Dell also refused to take a breathalyzer test and was later forced to give a blood sample under an order from a judge, the report states.
