A woman attending Princeton University's "Reunions" weekend was sexually assaulted at the school's Spelman Hall, according to the school's pubic safety department.

The woman, whom officials said was attacked around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, described the suspect as a black male, approximately 5 feet and 8 inches to 5 feet and 9 inches, weighing approximately 170 pounds with facial hair and a mole on his face. He was reportedly wearing a T-shirt and shorts.

A public safety spokeswoman would not say if the woman was alumni, visitor or student.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident along with the public safety department. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the department at 609-258-1000.

Princeton University said it expected 25,000 alumni and friends to attend the weekend activities leading to commencement on Tuesday.
