Police have identified the woman killed in an accident involving a school bus with children on board in Lakewood.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joe Coronato said in a statement that Carol Boccadutre, 76, of Jackson was turning left out of the Charlie Brown's Steakhouse parking lot onto Chestnut Street when she hit by a school bus on the driver's side of her 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe around 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Boccadutre sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood  where she was later pronounced dead. Bus driver Albert Budd, 58, of Toms River refused medical treatment and was wearing a seat belt. On board video provided by Jay's Bus Service, the operator of the bus, show that Budd was not using a cell phone. He gave a blood sample and his account of the incident to Lakewood police.

Seven children who were riding on the bus were treated  for minor injuries, while three others were released to their parents at the accident scene.

No charges have yet been filed in the case. The N.J.S.P. Commercial Truck Unit will conduct an investigation.
