Wintry Mix Ending in Most of NJ, but Travel Tricky
Travel conditions are improving in most of New Jersey as a wintry mix of precipitation changes over to just rain.
But officials warn that Monday’s evening commute could still be tricky, especially on side streets and rural roads where slick and slippery spots remain. So motorists are still being urged to use caution and allow extra travel time.
The National Weather Service says periods of rain should continue in most areas through tonight. But northwestern areas could see some more sleet and freezing rain before the precipitation ends.
Forecasters say warmer temperatures will move into the region over the next few days. Tuesday’s highs should reach the upper 40s, and highs near 60 degrees are expected on Wednesday.
