Donald Trump's rising appeal as a presidential candidate seems to be based on his detachment from political society, but is he about to lose that allure?

Trump will face-off with nine other GOP hopefuls at 9 p.m. tonight during the first 2016 presidential debate held by Fox.

This morning Eric Scott and I discussed what would happen if Trump didn't show up, and we tossed around the idea that his support might actually go up if he stays out of this event. After all, he's yet to flesh out the details of his lofty plans, and by virtue of partaking in tonight's show, he risks pitting himself against other Republicans too much, which could get dirty.
