It’s common to hear stories of deer causing problems throughout New Jersey, but residents of Montgomery were shocked to see the animal responsible for stirring up trouble in their town.

The two turkeys made their way onto Route 206, and were the source of traffic problems. When drivers attempted to chase the turkeys away, the animals became aggressive. There are many complaints that the turkeys were chasing drivers and their cars, and even scratching at cars on the road.

Police were called to handle the problem, and eventually the turkeys were taken away, and shot.
