Big Joe Henry knows the value of a good nurse — someone who'll care for you, who'll communicate with you, who'll let you know your well-being matters.

But he was still taken aback by the great work and compassion of the nurses he met on a 10-stop tour of New Jersey hospitals for nurses week earlier this month.

Among them was a nurse from Monmouth Medical Center's Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder Program — formerly known as its postpartum center — moved to help others after her own struggle with the mental illness.

And one nurse was moved to tears by the way she and her colleagues help people. Hear why above.
