Why does New Jersey weather have multiple personality disorder?

You know how some days in September are real "sweater weather" and other days you could sit on the beach in a bathing suit all day and even go in the water?

One of the joys of pre-fall season living near the shore is the ability to take a spontaneous trip to the boardwalk for a nice long walk. Problem is this time of year the weather can be, well… Unpredictable.

In the three minutes it took for me to drive over to the boardwalk yesterday, it turned from a magnificent summer day to a fickle fall one so quickly and the beach look like it couldn't decide whether it was July or October.  Long Branch Beach had a severe case of multiple personality disorder.
