A new survey from ForeSee, a customer experience analystics firm, found online shoppers this holiday season were not only interested in price; they wanted more from retailers.

While price was still a factor, it may not have been the primary reason shoppers stayed home to make purchases.

According to ForeSee's 2011 Holiday E-Retail Satisfaction Index, consumers were more interested in receiving more information about products and finding the best merchandise.

Many store chains shied away from their "store only" sales this past Black Friday and the following weeks, allowing the same deep discounts to apply online.

Free shipping was also a break that attracted consumers.
