Why Bruce superfan Judi Franco doesn’t want to go to his book signing

They held a lottery recently so that a lucky thousand or so Springsteen fans would have the distinct honor of being able to line up and get a pre-signed copy of his new book, "Born to Run."

That should bring joy to the hearts of diehard Springsteen fans all over New Jersey. Most people who love Bruce and have devoted many years to fandom would love to get to spend a few minutes with him up close and personal. And we imagine Bruce would love it too!

Bruce Springsteen is every man. Or so we thought. He'd be the last guy to put on star trips. Or so we thought. He's the most approachable famous person you know ... or so we thought.

If you were lucky enough to receive a ticket to see him at Barnes and Noble on September 27 to get a copy of his new book, you might not be aware of some of the ground rules. I decided to test out what it would be like to be a star and pulled a little big-shot diva trip of my own.
