The case of a Jersey City councilman who's being prosecuted for accepting salary while not actually working isn't an isolated event. But why have we let things get this way?

My dad used to tell me that politics is about one thing: "Jobs for our guys." And he's right. When Democrats are in power, they get jobs for their guys. Then when Republicans are in power, they get jobs for their guys, too.

Many of us are quick to go after a candidate's Twitter feed, but then let bigger issues slide. I think it's about time we take the corruption seriously.

Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick called in to share his perspective on how we can change this type of corruption, starting with ourstate.

According to Brammnick, we will continue to experience the same cripplinh issues like high property taxes until we vote out bad politicians. I agree- let your local legislator earn their keep.
