State Police face off against some rabid criminals, but a few weeks ago, they had an encounter with an unexpected foe — a raccoon that made its way into the Sussex County Hospital.

State Police shared an image of the capture on Facebook Saturday morning.

The trooper seen in the photo "was most definitely paying attention to the raccoon capture training in the academy," State Police wrote.

"So you know, this all turned out just fine."
