I was on 78 West late Wednesday morning coming back from Newark Liberty International Airport when I saw something that made me doubt my eyes. I was in the passing lane and noticed a silver car was in the center lane tailgating a red pickup truck. As I passed, from the corner of my eye I saw at least a three foot flame shoot out of a pipe on the pickup truck and the silver car back off immediately. It was all so fast I almost doubted myself.

So I brought this up on air and we were quickly schooled on just how easy this is to master. I can't remember all the lingo involved, but it turns out a lot of guys have rigged their cars to be able to do this. So we opened it up to fantasy car gadgets and weapons and quickly learned many of these things weren't just left at a fantasy. A lot of people have rigged their cars in way or another.

Kevin from Middletown called in to say his old '88 Mustang GT had a two step system built in that allowed him to fire up a flamethrower from his exhaust.

Ted from Kearny rigged up his rear windshield washer pump to squirt not on his rear window but directly behind and onto the windshield of any potential tailgater. Of course he replaced the windshield washer fluid with a thin oil that would stop a tailgater for a little window maintenance.

Jim from Bucks County called in to say he knew a guy who rigged a line from his transmission to drip transmission fluid on command directly onto his hot exhaust pipe creating a James Bond style smoke cloud behind his car.

Chris from Newton said his fantasy would be to have an M240 Bravo mounted on a turret on his car. That's a badass military machine gun for those who don't know.

It doesn't get much more Jersey than these fabulous gift ideas for the guy who has some road rage!
