Zimmer is part of a long list of owners who became famous doing their own commercials. Some hired pitchmen who were remembered more so than the products they sold . Anybody remember Tom Carvelle and the famous “Fudgy The Whale” cake?  Or maybe Frank Perdue?

These owners paid a lot of advertising dollars to become famous but more importantly, they made more of it back when their products sold. But no matter how famous they became, they were never too important to be let go, as we just saw with Zimmer. Who are the TV pitchmen you remember the most?
