The Giants, Jets, and Eagles have once again reshaped themselves in the hopes of reaching the playoffs which none of the 3 teams did last year.

With another year in Ben McAdoo’s offense, the emergence of Odell Beckham Jr., who may be their biggest impact player since Lawrence Taylor, the return of Victor Cruz and the addition of running back Shane Vereen, the Giants feel good about their offense. It’s Giants defense which possesses the biggest problems with new defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo losing his best player Jason Piere Paul to a 4th of July fireworks accident. Then again, injuries are nothing new to the Giants, they had a league-leading 22 players on injured reserve last year.

After going 10-6 in his first two seasons with the Eagles, including a playoff loss, Chip Kelly has decided to remake the team the way he wants it. Gone are veterans like Lesean McCoy, Nick Foles, and they've been replaced with Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, wide receiver Nelson Agholor.  The defense features a remade secondary featuring ex-Seahawks Byron Maxwell and Walter Thurmond.

The Jets with new head coach Todd Bowles, lost quarterback Geno Smith whose jaw was broken after being punched out by a former linebacker. But they do have Ryan Fitzpatrick who’s familiar with new offensive coordinator Chan Gailey’s system. They also have Bryce Petty that was drafted from Baylor waiting in the wings. Many felt that Petty was a top quarterback in last year's draft on a scale with Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.  On defense, number one draft choice Leonard Williams joins Sheldon Richardson and Muhammed Wilkerson on the line and the secondary, which was a sore spot for the Jets last season, is now a strength with the return of cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie.
