Which Springfield Are The Simpson’s From?

Doh! Homer is NOT from New Jersey.

There has been great speculation about where the Anytown, USA, home of Marge and Homer was located. It's been a closely guarded secret for 22 years. Now the Simpson's creator has broken his silence on the issue.

It's Springfield -- Oregon.

"Eat my shorts, Illinois," said one internet post.

Ohio, Massachusetts, Missouri, and even Union County, New Jersey tried to lay claim to the Simpson's fictitious home. New Jersey's claim had some merit, especially since we never see the Simpson's pump their own gas. Oregon, however, is the only other state in the Nation where you can't pump your own.
