Everyone knows it costs an arm and a leg to live in New Jersey — with some of the nation's highest taxes and richest counties.

But according to a new breakdown by Property Shark, only one New Jersey zip code cracks the top 25 for expensive realty — Apline. It's the only zip code in a state other than California or New York to make the top 25.

It's also the town where Sean "Diddy" Combs is trying to sell his $8 million mansion, which, according to its listing on multiple real estate sites, includes “spectacular sunset views, tranquil swimming pool with waterfalls, lighted tennis court (and) private putting green help make this one of Alpine’s most gorgeous privately gated fully secured hilltop estates.” It's also got a grand double-story foyer, formal living and dining rooms, a great room with a fireplace, a mahogany paneled library, a kitchen with a breakfast area, three master bedroom suites with sitting rooms (rap moguls like to have guests, we suppose), and another three bedrooms with private suites and walk-in closets.

Alpine residents pay some of the highest taxes, in raw dollars, of anyone in New Jersey — with an average payment of $20,887 last year.

Census Data from 2010 shows Alpine to be the fifth-richest municipality in the state, with a per capita income of $76,995 (Mantoloking tops the list at $114,017).
